Metaphor for Ambition

Created for the Material Movement Gala at Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

A fashion artefact created as the final phase in a performance triptych. A rocket shaped form with integrated upwards facing boots is entered by performers feet from a laying floor position at each side. As the feet become part of the structure the visual momentum of their feet is directed upwards, a symbol of positive self connection.

Materials: Handcrafted in leather and beechwood.
