Shoes Can Save - 2022
Within this short avant-garde film; shoe, foot and leg artefacts are used to explore bodily actions and abstract symbolism relating to walking, paths, foot therapy and foot/shoe worship. Performers were also asked to re-consider the foot as a vessel in which to channel concepts/acts of love as well as making links to desire driven shoe consumerism in the fashion industry.
First exhibited at Jo Cope's solo exhibition 'Only Shoes Can Save us Now' at The Gallery Leicester.
Duration - 20 minute.
